"I do not title my work so as not to compromise its freedom, and I like to work with white because it is a color that lacks moral judgement."

Adriana Jiménez sees many possibilities for interpretation in her carefully constructed, abstract works. Each is like a puzzle with multiple solutions. The artist first makes a gestural painted image, then cuts it into pieces and reassembles it into a grid, creating a new work simultaneously simple and complex.

Jiménez trained at Central Saint Martins in London, Columbia University and Sotheby’s Institute.
